In its technical notice 'VAT for businesses if there’s no Brexit deal', the UK government has outlined its views on how the UK VAT system will operate if the UK leaves the EU on 29 March 2019 without a Brexit deal. However, it stresses that the guidance is only intended as advance notice of what may change if the UK exits without a deal, and the government expects that a deal will be reached.
