Achieving change – even significant change – doesn’t always mean doing everything in one go. Small incremental changes can be just as effective in moving you towards the desired end point, with the added bonus that they can be easier to implement and understand. This is particularly true for tax automation.

Automation is a crucial tool in the tax function’s ability to deliver value for an organisation. Many tax functions will become automated and make more use of artificial intelligence and machine learning as time goes on. And while we all agree that this change will happen, it’s open to debate what the journey towards greater automation will look like.
