On 9 November, the Senate Finance Committee released their comments on the House of Representatives' US tax reform bill.

The Senate tax reform proposals would lower business and individual tax rates, modernise US international tax rules, and simplify the tax law, but differ in key
aspects from the House Ways and Means Committee-approved tax reform bill. The Finance Committee is scheduled to begin consideration of the bill on 13 November, with the markup continuing through the week.

Meanwhile, the Ways and Means Committee completed its tax reform bill on 9 November, and the full House of Representatives is expected to debate and vote on the legislation during the week of 13 November.
